Some foods just don't play well with air fryer baskets — marinated chicken drips sauce everywhere, fish fillets stick and break apart, and small items fall through the grates. A parchment sling solves all of this.
Cut a piece of parchment to your basket size, fold up the edges to create a shallow tray, and place your food on it. The parchment is heat-safe, catches drips, and makes cleanup almost nonexistent. You can also buy pre-cut parchment liners, but a DIY sling gives you more flexibility for odd-shaped items.
Don't let parchment extend above the basket rim — it can blow into the element.
For extra crispy bottoms, poke a few holes in the parchment for airflow.
Pre-cut parchment liners with holes are even better — they let air through.
Never use parchment in an empty preheating basket — it'll blow around and could burn.
