Spice up your fritters with a warm pumpkin flavor. This recipe swaps out the apples for canned pumpkin puree and adds pumpkin pie spice for that signature fall taste. Just be sure to use 100% pumpkin puree, NOT pumpkin pie filling, for the best results.

  1. 01Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  2. 02In a separate bowl, whisk egg, pumpkin puree, milk, and melted butter.
  3. 03Combine wet and dry. Stir until just mixed. Batter will be thick and orange.
  4. 04Drop rounded tablespoons onto parchment.
  5. 05Ready for the air fryer.
  6. 06Drizzle with glaze while warm.
Canned pumpkin puree, NOT pumpkin pie filling. Pie filling has sugar and spices already mixed in and will make the fritters way too sweet and gummy. The can should say "100% pumpkin" or "pumpkin puree." This is the number one mistake in every pumpkin recipe ever written and it's worth repeating.
