This variation of our base granola recipe adds maple syrup and pecans for a richer flavor. Be sure to watch the pecans carefully, as they toast quickly. The recipe and air fryer instructions are on this page.

  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil or butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup pecan halves
  • Add after cooking: 1/4 cup dried cranberries

This variation is self-seasoned
  1. 01Combine oats, maple syrup, melted oil, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla. Stir until every oat is coated.
  2. 02Fold in the pecans.
  3. 03Spread thin on parchment in the air fryer basket.
  4. 04Ready for the air fryer (short bursts with stirring, per food page).
  5. 05Cool completely. Fold in cranberries.
Pecans burn faster than oats, so stir more frequently in the last few minutes. The cranberries go in after because dried fruit in the air fryer turns into little charcoal pellets.
